First, some news. William has graduated to a "big boy bed". We took the front off the crib and now he has access in and out. He has actually done quite well with it. Mostly, once he goes in, he stays in for the night. We do also have a gate up in his doorway so he doesn't have direct access to the stairs. So far, so good. We'll see if it stays that way!
Memorial Day weekend
We actually didn't do too much for the holiday weekend which was nice. However, on Sunday one of my close friends and roommate from college was in town with her family. So, William and I went to join them at the aquarium for the morning and a lunch before everyone parted ways for naptime. It was nice catching up and being able to see her two adorable girls, Fern and Iris. William mostly wanted to run thru the aquarium per his usual m.o. However, he did get a kick out of Fern. Any older kids are always interesting!
His favorite, as always, the sharks.
This one is "sleeping" according to William.
More sharks.
The group!
Me, William, Fern in the middle, my friend Heather and Iris.
Iris with the delectably plump baby legs!
And behind the camera, Heather's husband Mike. Thanks, Mike, for the great pic!
We hope to see them again soon!
Thank you to all of those who have served and are serving our great country. We wouldn't have the privilege of enjoying a lovely weekend of freedom if it were not for your great sacrifice and devotion. We salute you.
