Wings over the Rockies

Another Longman Family Fun Day!

We had never visited the Wings over the Rockies Air and Space Museum even though Lucas and I had always meant to. What a great place - so cool! We had a family day that coincided with cockpit tours so we went for it!

The museum is inside a giant hangar left over from when Buckley Air Force Base used to be situated closer to Denver. The entire base has been converted over to housing and shopping etc, but a few of these still remain. William insisted in bringing and wearing his Ironman mask, no idea why.

Me and Ironman - free falling

Flight simulator that was previously used by United Airlines for all of their pilots. They require their pilots to spend 3 days every 3 months in the flight simulator going thru scenarios, regardless of how many years they have been flying. Makes me feel safer!

All in all a really neat museum and we will definitely go back!
