A May Hike

Per usual, I'm trying to get caught up on our blog to document a little of what we've been doing!

It's already July and I can't believe half the summer is already gone! We've kept busy with regular trips to the pool, William had a flag football camp for a week and is now into baseball again. (future blog posts about THAT soon!)

Anyhoo, in May we made a trip up to Chatauqua park in Boulder for a hike! It was beautiful, a tad warm and plenty of people along the trail, but it was our first official family hike and we did just fine!
Starting out!

Beautiful Boulder flatirons

This amazing "rock garden" reminded us of the trolls habitat in Frozen. Guess who's been watching that a little too often these days!

Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum - you decide which is which

Hope did a great job, but Lucas gets extra credit for carrying her on his shoulders for quite a while. The trail was fairly steep and well, she's only three. Still, she was a trooper! Little did we know this hike would be great training for a future hike in Aspen and Maroon bells.
