Once again, it was time for the annual Cotton Creek Pumpkin Run! William LOVES this event and enjoys the practices and the training they do every year. He was able to participate in the training group after school the month of September.

"GO!!" And they're off - William is already gone!
And here he is after the finish - placing THIRD yet again! Fourth to cross the finish line, 1st place girls (Finley) was just ahead of him and another boy.

And here he is at the award ceremony receiving his medal. It is also interesting to note that for the 3rd year in a row it is the same 3 boys for the top positions: Seth (1st - this year, last year was a tie), Truman (fellow Hope Montessori alum - 2nd - tied with Seth last year) and William in third. The top girl finishers have been somewhat different each year, but those 3 boys are consistently the same. Too funny!
I would also like to point out that this past summer William did not get nearly the training time running with either Lucas or I for several unrelated reasons and yet he still managed to maintain his place. He's a natural and as I have always said - LIVES to run. Probably what he was doing in utero - running in place - would explain the constant kicking I always felt. 😊
