Flag Football!

And the next sport up is - Flag Football! After not being able to coax William into playing ANY sports last year, he wanted to try baseball and flag football this year. Baseball was a success and football has been an even bigger success. He LOVES it.

What's not to love? He loves the running and the blocking the most. I am telling you, this kid was born to run, so when you put a ball in his hand and tell him to run - that is just icing on the cake. I mean, I do call him FRED for a reason - Frantically Running Every Day. It was valid at the age of 2 and is still applicable today.

He is a GREAT running back and that is probably his favorite position. He is also a great blocker. Quarterbacking still needs some work - last game he fumbled the ball twice. And being the quarterback only entails handing it to the running back directly behind you. But, hey - it's just the 1st season and we're still learning. But, the funniest part so far has been that I noticed William is so very antsy when he is quarterback that he is literally doing jazz hands out on the field because he just is itching to get his hands on the ball. Hilarious!

See - Look at him go!!!

 Touchdowns #1 and #2

He's the weirdo in the middle here - doing who knows what.

This is what Hope does during the game - anything but watch. She discovered a new friend just her age, so they are tracking bugs in this photo.

Playing center.

The other fun part is watching the other kids. Too funny - the one little boy who runs down the field, not only outside of the cones if needed, but even behind the parent spectators lining the field. Doesn't care - he is going to find a way to get down the field! Or the other little boy who turned and ran back to his own end zone because he was running AWAY from the kids coming at him! Oops!

To me this is way more entertaining than football played well. Pros, schmos. ;)
